Et nous sommes repartis dans la bonne direction. Cet épisode a été très frustrant, alors que nous étions en plein milieu de la carte du fichier météo montrant de bons vents constants. Quoi qu’il en soit, il y a une leçon à en tirer : Nous étions près d’une zone où le vent était censé changer de direction et peut-être vaut-il mieux éviter de se trouver à côté des zones où les isobares se courbent.

Finally, after 4 hours of circles, the breeze started to come in from proper direction, and we got 5 knots of wind. When you have zero, 5 is quite a lot. You can sail on that, going in the right direction. It was very frustrating, to have that happen, in the middle of the GRIB files that were just showing consistent winds. So we learn. It was near an area where the wind was supposed to be changing direction and perhaps that’s a lesson: that you don’t want to ever be anywhere near curving isobars.

Markus Bolliger, responsable de l'hippodrome, initia ensuite la communauté Finnova aux courses. Et le virus ne tarda pas à se répandre!
