Since the launch of the ‘Enterprise Network for free consulting to small businesses’ in 2012, some 250 Greek companies have applied for support. To date, over 160 have received expert help in areas such as marketing, finance and business organisation. For the remaining candidate enterprises external consultancy services are under way. The Enterprises Network is managed by the GSEVEE – the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen and Merchants – which unites 88 regional business federations representing SMEs and has some of the best vocational training centres in the country. The support on offer focuses on the most important issues for SMEs and aims to help them survive the difficult current business environment by offering the services of experienced business advisors. The programme is co-funded by the ESF and is free of charge to eligible SMEs.
