The Alboran Sea is geographical part of the Mediterranean Sea, its eastern limit is marked by the imaginary line that connects Cabo de Gata (Almeria) and Oran (Algeria), While its western boundary is situated in the Strait of Gibraltar. It's a sea of small size, and without tides apparent since the reduced water volume in the Mediterranean basin experienced a weak lunar attraction.

Traces of the presence of the Urn Field Culture outside the Cheb Basin are also found in the valley of the Ohře River towards the east up to the district of Karlovy Vary (Drahovice). The easternmost findings include fragments from the hill forts in Radošov and Velichov. Both the hill forts are situated in an area where the Ohře River enters the defile of the Ore Mountains and the Doupov Mountains. The strategic position of these fortified settlements outside the actual settlement area of northwest Bohemia may indicate that they formed the eastern frontier of the Cheb and Karlovy Vary settlement area.

The eastern border is the creek Martinjščica and it continues in the straight line through the village Otok to the hills Javorniki-the western border of this district. The fishing is not allowed from the bridges or any other objects from which you cannot put the fish back into the water. The fishing in spawning places is forbidden. Due to drying up the water levels vary; but on the map you can see the largest fishing area when the lake is full-it is marked with dotted line. The full line marks the area where the water is present most of the year.

Cities like Berlin, Vienna, Warsaw, Trieste, for centuries have represented the frontier where Eastern and Western European culture interfaced, the point where exchanges and conflicts occurred.

The grand giant "Palace of St. Michael", as the Castle was referred to in documents of the 18th century, towered at the island limited with the Moika River and the Fontanka River from the north and east. The island was washed with specially dug channels, Voskresensky and Tserkovny, from the west and south. The fortification system that rounded the Castle and Connetable Square, lying in front of it, included channels, demi-bastions, drawbridges, and cannons. In the middle of the Square there was a monument to Peter the Great cast in 1745 to 1747 upon the model of Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli designed in the lifetime of the grand great-grandfather of Paul I.

As Rome conquered western lands possessed by the Greek dynasties, so the Parthian and Kushan empires began with nomadic invasions in the eastern part of the Seleucid empire. Parni nomads from Türkmenistan, led by Arsaces, freed themselves from Seleucid rule around 250 B.C. and established the Parthian kingdom in northeastern Iran. Kin to the Scythians, they were horsemen and archers of great ability. In 141 B.C., the Parthians under Mithridates I conquered Media and Babylonia from the Greeks. They took the Seleucid emperor Demetrius II prisoner when he tried to regain the lost territory. The Arsacid dynasty moved its capital to Ctesiphon, a suburb of Seleucia-on-Tigris. The Romans fared no better against Parthian arrows. An army led by Marcus Crassus was annihilated when it invaded Mesopotamia in 53 B.C. Trajans attempt in 114-17 A.D. to annex Armenia, Mesopotamia, and Babylonia ended in disaster. Neither, however, were the Parthians able to make significant inroads into Roman territory. Hadrian set the Roman Empires eastern boundary at the Euphrates river. The Arsacid Parthian dynasty lasted until 224 A.D. when its last emperor, Artabanus V, was overthrown and supplanted by his Persian vassal, Ardeshir I, founder of the Sasanian (Second) Persian empire.
