Following the opening of the congress on the previous evening by the Lord Mayor of Frankfurt, designers, editors, art directors, infographic designers, publishers, photographers, layout specialists and advertising designers will spend the next two days focusing on the issue of whether newspapers have a future. Similarly, the shaping of digital change, social responsibility in global media, the challenge of inspiring readers with new articles and the effect of branding through good and bad typography will also be discussed, in terms of both digital and analogue media. Representatives from the following print and online publications will be present: Neue Luzerner Zeitung, gulfnews, Zeit Online, editorial-design, Bild Zeitung, Poynter, National Geographic, Guardian, The National, New York Times, Washington Post, Outpost and Green Post.
