If other people come to see it, that's wonderful. But it's a side effect.

Unsere Gesellschaft hat eine Überraschung für die Teilnehmer des Technologischen Treffens 2008 vorbereitet, nämlich einen besonderen Wettbewerb. Der von WTH gestiftete Wettbewerbpreis war das dünnste Notebook in der Welt - MacBook Air!. Als Aufgaben des Wettbewerbs sollten nur zwei einfache Fragen verbunden mit der Tätigkeit unserer Gesellschaft beantwortet und ein Werbespruch betreffend unsere Dienstleistungen angeboten werden. Feierliche Bekanntgabe des Gewinners und Überreichung des Preises hat während der Abendfeier am 11. Juni 2008 in Hotel Gołębiewski stattgefunden. Wir möchten also mit Vergnügen mitteilen, dass den Wettbewerb "Wratislavia Translation House kennenlernen und MacBook Air gewinnen!" Herr Dariusz Hepert (von der Firma Feroco SA) gewonnen hat, der einen witzigen und ausdrucksvollen Werbespruch vorgeschlagen hat. Wegen großem Interesse, das unser Wettbewerb erwecken hat und riesiger Anzahl der kreativen Werbesprüche haben wir uns entschieden, auch andere Teilnehmer mit den zusätzlichen Trostpreisen auszuzeichnen. On the 1st and 2nd October 2009, in Marriot hotel in Warsaw an annual TM-Europe conference was organized by the Polish Association of Translation Agencies and the research and consulting company TM-Global. The quality and terminology management and the business prerequisites for the provision of the translation and localization services were the main topics of the presentations and panel discussions. Mark Childress, the main administrator of the SAP terminology database, had a very interesting presentation about the terminology management. The information gained by us were especially interesting, since we are the co-establishers of the Polish version of this base and viewing it from the perspective of the authors of the source entries was a very useful experience for us. The tool workshops enabled us to gain the most up-to-date information about the trends relating to CAT tools and familiarize with many concepts of the machine translation and mass memory, which are being developed parallel.

Er meint, Kirschholz träfe irgendwo die Mitte, sowohl was die Färbung angeht als auch in Bezug auf die Verwendbarkeit für streng professionelle wie aufgelockerte Ambiente. Zuerst war tatsächlich American walnut (Walnuss) für das Projekt im Gespräch, da dieses Holz eine luxuriöse Anmutung hat. Wegen seiner dunkleren Färbung hätte es die kleineren Büros allerdings optisch noch kleiner erscheinen lassen. American cherry (Kirsche) wies hingegen den goldenen, honigfarbenen Farbton auf, der wunderbar zum Ahornholz aus Queensland passt, das den Eingangsbereich schmückt.

There are plenty of beaches in Curacao – from large sandy or pebbled beaches to small and secluded inlets. Almost all Curacao beaches are scattered along the sheltered and calm south western coast. The north coast can be interesting to see the dangerous breakers, sometimes meters high, to see the volcanic rocks and to feel almost stormy winds. Some of the beaches that are well-known and nearby your villa on Curacao are: Jan Thiel beach (Zanzibar), Caracas Bay beach, Mambo beach, and Seaquarium beach. Further away towards the West Point you will find beautiful beaches that are somewhat less crowded: Playa Kalki, Grote Knip, Kleine Knip, Playa Jeremi, Westpunt, Porto Marie and Cas Abou. Curacao is known for its coral reefs, used for scuba diving. The beaches on the south side contain many popular diving spots. An unusual feature of Curacao diving is that the sea floor drops steeply within a few hundred feet of the shore, and the reef can easily be reached without a boat. This drop-off is known as the “blue edge.” Curacao water world is really amazing!

Wegen der Vollmacht siehe A-VIII, 1.5. Die Unterschrift des Berechtigten als Bestätigung der Vornahme einer schriftlichen Verfahrenshandlung dient der Klärung der Verfahrenslage. Sie ermöglicht eine Feststellung, ob die Verfahrenshandlung wirksam vorgenommen ist und verhindert auch die Umgehung der Vorschriften über die notwendige Vertretung. Als gesondertes Begleitschreiben kann auch das Formblatt 1038 (Begleitschreiben für nachgereichte Unterlagen) verwendet werden. Für jede Akte muss ein gesondertes Formblatt verwendet werden (siehe Mitteilung des EPA, ABl. EPA 1991, 64). Gleiches gilt, wenn der Anmelder anstelle von Form 1038 ein Begleitschreiben mit dem betreffenden Dokument einreicht (siehe auch A-VIII, 2.4). Im Falle der elektronischen Einreichung können mehrere Dokumente zu einer Akte einem einzigen Formblatt 1038E beigefügt werden.

Documents such as the priority document or the translation thereof must be accompanied by a separate letter or at least bear a note on the document itself that it is addressed to the EPO, duly signed by a person authorised to act before the EPO. This also applies, for example, to the designation of inventor if this has been signed by an applicant with neither residence nor principal place of business in one of the Contracting States to the EPC. As regards the authorisation, see A-VIII, 1.5. The signature of the entitled person confirming performance of a written act of procedure helps to clarify the state of the proceedings. It shows whether the act of procedure has been validly performed, and also prevents circumvention of the provisions relating to representation. Form 1038 (Letter accompanying subsequently filed items) may also be used as a separate letter. A separate form must be used for each file (see the Notice from the EPO, OJ EPO 1991, 64). The same applies when, instead of using Form 1038, the applicant submits an accompanying letter with the document in question (see also A-VIII, 2.4). In the case of electronic filing, several documents for a file can be attached on a single Form 1038E.
