...or Vladimir Lopatin, was born into a large family in Leningrad, then Saint Petersburg. He does not have an education in art. Instead he trained as a confectionery chef. He returned from army service in 2005 and in the same year happened to visit KomMissia Comics Festival. From that day onwards he became very interested in stories created through pictures. He no longer works as a chef, his whole life and work instead now revolves around comics. Over the years he has worked for large firms and publishing houses, drawn for children's magazines, designed books and computer games, and become a small-scale, but proud publisher together with his close friend Ilya Obukhov. He loves his family, skateboarding and drawing, and hates gadgets, cigarette smoke and rudeness.
