After having investigated various possibilities for training missionaries and having found none suitable, he decided to open his own seminary in the town of Hermannsburg where he was the local pastor. The first group of young men were trained by 1853 and were sent to Africa on a ship (the Kandaze or Candace) which was built entirely from donations. The initial idea was to reach the Galla tribe in Ethiopia, but the entry was blocked by the Sultan of Mombassa, who did not want Christian missionaries in his dominions.

Mona Glaß was born in Hamburg, in 1989. Since 2010 she studied art history and theater science in Berlin and completed her studies in 2016 with the Bachelor of Arts. 2007 she was doing an internship in the sector scenography and props as well as a hospitancy in stage design in 2010, both at the „Staatsoper Hamburg“. 2012 she started working as a directing assistent at „Monbijou Theater“ Berlin, which she did for the following two years. Subsequently she’d been working there as the stage design assistent and props- mistress for another year. 2016 her first self created stage design was realised in the „Hexenberg Theater“ in Berlin. Furthermore she was involved in smaller projects, such as a musicvideo and an art movie, where she was responsible for props, costume and make up. Experiences abroad she mainly gathered during a one year stay in Portugal and several months’ journeys to East-Africa, India and Cambodia, which influenced her way of artistic thinking sustainably.

However, there is a possibility of indirect testing – by analysing Y-DNA of some direct male relatives of the given woman, e.g. father, brother or uncle (or their sons). Thanks to Y-, every man alive today can trace his origin to one common genetic forefather Adam who lived in East Africa about 80 thousand years ago (the information about time differs in various literature sources).
