DiCorcia's most recent series, East of Eden, has an obvious fictional reference. Not only because the title refers to the book of Genesis, Adam and Eve, and the expulsion from Paradise. East of Eden is also the title of a famous Steinbeck novel-magnificently filmed with James Dean, who portrays the dark side of the American dream in an allusion to the story of Cain and Abel, in 1955. But East of Eden also has a very real basis: "It was really about the loss of innocence I think the whole world went through when the financial crisis started. The financial crisis was the beginning of an economic crisis that led to a political crisis. It took two administrations to learn that the war on Iraq was based on a lie, that Saddam Hussein didn't work together with Al-Qaida, and that Afghanistan was an impossible country to transform. Now we have natural disasters that we never could have imagined before. And then there are all those people with no homes. I did feel some compulsion to respond. I never respond directly. But I had a distinct motivation for the conceptualization of the imagery."

Should even one person, however, be out of synch with their knowledge of who they truly are then their actions, their words and their thoughts will begin to generate chaos. If everyone else remains in harmony with their I AM knowledge then no harm will be done and the out of balance one will quickly regain his/her composure through observing the comportment of her/his contemporaries. Where, however, out of misguided pity, others take up the discordant resonance of the "ill" one instead of showing him/her the way back to balance, then chaos will spread exponentially. This is what has been called "The Fall" or "The Expulsion from the Garden of Eden" etc. in most religious texts.

Schönwälder: How can it be that there are scientists in Israel who wish to cooperate with the people and institutions responsible for their expulsion from academic life during the Nazi regime? Was it easier in the natural science, despite their involvement in armament and crimes, than in the humanities, where the official establishment of science relationships started much later?

A titan lying under the sign Wake Up! subtly lit by light coming through a sealed window, an airplane and a view of a town shimmering from the depths on a wall, were all part of Q:’s exhibition at the newly opened Meetfactory. The enormous space comprising three halls will always be a challenging proposition for exhibiting artists. Korpaczewski worked for a month on site and began by heightening the intensity of the space by dividing it with plastic curtains and dimmed lighting. Even though the project Wake Up! was exhibited under the symbol Q:, it seems to me that this was more of a retrospective exhibition in which he brought together all his artistic techniques – installation, an autonomous painted picture or series of pictures, linked text, all of which were worked on with principles which could be used in public space projects. Some of the motifs used, such as the young god lying down in the first room and the implied continuation with Hold On in the dark third room, where apart from the artist’s car he himself also waits in a simple silhouette on the wall sitting on a tire, all of these opened the space up to reminiscences of Korpaczewski’s earlier works.

The first dispersal the Bible tells us about is the expulsion from Paradise. After the destruction of the second Temple in 70 CE, Jewish history definitely turned into a history of Diaspora, which also reached Europe. The first European Jewish communities were founded in the Roman Empire, where almost 50.000 Jews lived in the ancient city of Rome.

On the other hand, his story as a figure of thought reaches back to the narrative about the expulsion from paradise. Heinrich von Kleist sees the case as a sign of the "fragile institution of the world" in general. Bit by bit, the permanent falling from lapsus to human condition develops. Man, the world, is everything that is in fall. At a time when GoPro is multiplying the kick of falling into web videos, everything reliable and stable loses its appeal. At the beginning of the 21st century, the fall has become the sign of an entire culture.

Immediately after the reported expulsion from the test garden, which the firm E.D.E.N. (Emergent Design of Evolving Nature) had set up for this prototype, these pubescent youths, who are, certainly, incredibly good looking, but also abundantly idiotic and only lightly dressed, found themselves exposed to a rather rough environment.

Eventually the Red army won and the cheerful days of communism began. They began with the robbery of rich citizens and expelled them from the country. As the scriptural seven skinny cows ate up a fat cow and didn't become any fatter, so is our ragged fellows robbed a rich fellows and didn't become any richer. Poverty was written all over and the Soviet epoch didn't leave us many valuable things that would be worth digging for them. Many graves were left.

The courage it took to conceive integrated systems was soon rewarded with success: the products from Korb were welcomed with open ears. This of course meant leaving the quaint and cosy garage; an urgently needed production area, storage capacity and a larger team made it necessary to move into a former carpenter's workshop.

The authors demonstrate that the Bible was transcribed several times over the centuries, giving examples from the Song of Songs (Solomon’s Song):

It is also the enthusiastic spectators in the leg villages along the route that hand over their love for nostalgy to the participants. Adventure is constantly aboard: when the region becomes lonelier and the headlights are switched on. When the hundredths speed on the stop watch, the eyes of the co-driver stick to the roadbook, those of the driver to the oil-pressure gauge. When thunderstorms arise and try to displace the participants from paradise.

As an escape from a life that was too closed and suffocating for her, Mercè Rodoreda began to collaborate with newspapers and magazines, generally with stories, some of them for children: La Publicitat, La Veu de Catalunya, Mirador, etc. Flowers often appear in these stories, as is the case of “The Girl with the Bouquet of Camellias,” where camellias lead to memories, to youth, which would be a constant in Rodoreda’s writing. She also wrote four novels that she later rejected because they reflected her inexperience, showing her strong desire to write, but not much more, as she emphasised in an interview. She only accepted Aloma (1938), which won the 1937 Crexells Award, although even in that case, she completely rewrote it and published a new version in 1969, showing how demanding she was. In the novel, a work of interior analysis, focused on a female figure, an adolescent, Aloma, who lives in a Barcelona that is growing and expanding, but also conflictive, there is a scene that, with variations, would be constant in her writing: a modest home with a garden in the Sant Gervasi neighbourhood, a garden full of flowers. In fact, Aloma’s entry into the world of adults, a world that is always disenchanting for Rodoreda, is represented by the identification of the girl with a wilted flower, and also with the loss of the garden, the only space for happiness, dreaming. It is as if this were a sort of expulsion from an earthly paradise, a garden, as well.
