Um ganz ehrlich zu sein, muss ich sagen, dass ich mir früher bei der Lektüre von Gipfelerklärungen über den Prozess hinter ihrer Abfassung nicht besonders viele Gedanken gemacht habe. Recht naiv hatte ich eine vage Vorstellung von einer hochkarätigen Arbeitsgruppe, die bei der jeweiligen Sitzung dabeisaß, die Diskussionen aufmerksam verfolgte und dann gewissenhaft die wesentlichen Punkte der Diskussion zu einem Dokument zusammenfasste, das im Zeitraffertempo gedruckt und gleichzeitig mit dem Ende der Sitzung an die internationale Presse verteilt werden konnte.
