Modern electronics are now used in many industries. Electronic components have to function 100 % reliably under all temperature conditions. To analyse the stability of electronics under extreme temperatures, Rehm has developed a completely new series: Securo Minus for cold function tests, or Securo Plus for hot function tests. At the fair we will present Securo Minus for reliable cold function tests. To check, for example, the winter performance of sensitive electronics, the components in the system can be fed with cold air or nitrogen at temperatures down to -55 °C. The Securo systems can be optimally combined with other measurement equipment.

Adamaas glasses are particularly aimed at senior citizens with mild dementia and people with learning difficulties. The system should also enable them to participate in the workplace. Funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Energy Generation, Distribution and Realization (EEVU) project is a research hub in the Fraunhofer Systems Research Initiative for Electro-Mobility. It considers the whole energy chain from generation of electrical energy to its distribution and use in vehicles. Together with Fraunhofer AST (Application Center for Systems Technology), IT4Energy is researching ways for maximum-efficiency of load distribution in energy producer/consumer problems. One current theme is the use of constraint-based methods for achieving better efficiency in the design of charging cycles for the batteries of electrical vehicles. A range of scenarios for the periodic charging of batteries in the grid are run through and optimized. Flexible charging scenarios enable more electrical vehicles to be charged per day than rigid charging scenarios, thus making for better use of the grid. Under certain circumstances, up to 90 percent of overall grid capacity can be used whereby the number of chargeable electrical vehicles is just 15 percent under the grid overload threshold.
