The most important strategy to thwart the attempts to bypass the vision system is the intelligence that detects if the camera is acquiring fake images. In this case the software checks for movement between the acquired images by comparing translation results. MIL's pattern matching algorithms give the location results of the label's features. Then the locations are compared from image to image over the sequence of acquired images. If a certain number of images indicate no movement between them, the current part and all future parts will fail. The user controls the number of images to compare and the tolerance for movement, and the parts will continue to fail until the movement tolerance meets those parameters.

Das Konzept sieht den Aufbau von insgesamt 20 Pegelstationen vor, die bei Bedarf in Echtzeit hochgenaue Pegelwerte alle 15 Sekunden an ein Warnzentrum übermitteln können. Tide gauges installed along the Indonesian coastline are able to monitor the instantaneous sea level in near real-time. For GITEWS, an integrated concept was developed, which comprises three different tide gauge sensors and a GPS receiver for vertical control at each site. On-site, the data is quality checked and a detection algorithm for rapid changes in sea level monitors the station independently. All data is transmitted by using GTS/Meteosat and INMARSAT/BGAN. Solar arrays deployed on-site and different communication lines ensure an autonomous operation with minimal maintenance requirements.

Double pulse lasers at the bottom edge of the façade detect the position of a person walking by, prompting the control software to switch on and off individual amber coloured luminaires. The vertical section of the glass façade nearest to the passer-by lights up in a varying intensity depending on the distance of the person. People intuitively understand this immediate reaction and can playfully influence the appearance of the towers by stopping, progressing, changing directions.

This paper examines Germany´s policy vis‐à‐vis UN reform. It focuses in particular on Germany ´s goal to secure a permanent seat at the Security Council. Against the background of prominent reform proposals the paper first recounts the evolution of the federal government´s position. It then examines the responses of prominent allies and partners. This analysis reveals that support for Germany´s claim is not only far weaker than usually suggested but also in steady decline. A closer look at the arguments put forth in support of Germany´s claim for a permanent seat shows that few can really stand up to scrutiny. The study closes with a plea for a resuscitation of a European option for UN reform.

The aim of this thesis project is to make a contribution to research on ,Indian' and ,Western' perceptions of ,Indianness' in the field of Indological Studies. By systematically analysing novels of the author Mṛdula Garg, an example of modern Hindi literature is examined as a reflection of social developments. In this framework the following thematic problem areas are dealt with: production, reception and transmission of Hindi literature, normative roles and the identities of members of Indian society, notions of identity, and the representation of ,India' and the ,West' in its mutual aspects of self-perception and social perception. The study's goal is to examine varying representations of ,Indianness', on the one hand, from the author's point of view, and on the other hand, in the point of view of both western and indian critics. The study takes an interdisciplinary approach of combining methods taken from the field of philology and from literary and cultural studies. This involves especially a narratological approach that takes into account the category of ,gender'. In the field of Indological Studies Indian literature has rarely ever been analysed systematically with regard to the history of literature and society to the extent intended here. Therefore, both thematic and methodological results can be expected.
