When I was at the Academy in Dusseldorf, Daniel Buren was a guest professor for one year. I always went to his courses. We were a small group of people, he was fairly important for many of us because he had a radical attitude in discussing structural functioning vs. the environment in which it appears, which is what his own work is about. When I meet him somewhere around the globe, we always manage to smile at each other because quite a number of students who were in that small group have become quite well-known, like Thomas Schutte or Reinhard Mucha or myself. He's quite proud, he likes the memory of that year. He came early in the morning at eight and would spend the whole day and evening with us.

Um richtig das Herstellungverfahren von Superphosphaten durchzuführen, ist auch die Auswahl der Konstruktionsmaterialien der Anlage wichtig. Wegen der Benutzung von der Schwefelsäure und  des Vorhandens von Fluorwasserstoff bei Endprodukten muss die bei dem Verfahren verwendete Ausrüstung gegen säurebeständig sein. Die Herstellung von einfachem Superphosphat wird in Behältern durchgeführt, die mit Bleiblech, hartem PVC oder Teflon® beschichtet werden. Alle bei dem Verfahren benutzten Schlangenrohre werden aus säurebeständigem Stahl oder Blei (es wird aber in den modernen Anlagen nicht mehr verwendet) ausgefertigt. Zusätzlich ist es auch sehr wichtig, Korrosionsschutz (z. B. Gummi oder Faolit) zu verwenden, hinsichtlich des Fluorwasserstoffs, der bei dem Verfahren ausgast.

Women knew the medicinal applications of many herbs and plants and knowledge of many of them was learned from generation to generation from times previous to the institutionalisation of Christianity. At the same time they discovered new formulas and applications through experimentation. People considered this knowledge to be a certain kind of magic, and likewise the leaders of the Christian churches and the state governors believed it. It appears that these women mixed their curing practices with old pre-Christian pagan rites. This magical patina that enveloped the knowledge of plants and the elaboration of creams and ointments seems to derive from those old religious rites. This was one of the factors that contributed to the consideration that there was a special relationship between these women and the body, with the healing of the body but also with the relationship between body and mind. There is documentary evidence of the practice of some witches scrubbing themselves with the ointments that they themselves made.
