Das Programm PEP (Personal Employment Pathway; dt.: Weg in die eigene Beschäftigung) bietet Arbeitssuchenden eine kostenlose persönliche Beurteilung, maßgeschneiderte Berufsberatung entsprechend den Fähigkeiten und insbesondere einen Arbeitsvermittlungsdienst.

The Irish county of Laois has launched a free job-seeking service to help people with disabilities to find work and build careers. The Personal Employment Pathway project – PEP for short – offers jobseekers free one-to-one assessments, tailored career guidance according to abilities, and importantly, a job-seeking service. “We focus on a person-centred approach and we put a strong emphasis on identifying and finding solutions to any personal barriers and challenges that are preventing the person from returning to employment.” explains Adrian Stewart of the National Learning Network, which is supporting the project. In addition, strong relationships with local employers mean work placements are available to allow disabled jobseekers to try out different types of jobs.
