The Department acknowledged that the information should not have been sent out to the employer and that the correct procedures were not followed on this occasion. It stated that the staff member who supplied the information was new to the Department. It explained that it was not normal practice to issue a screenshot to the employer; the correct procedure was to issue a statement to the employee along with a note informing the employee that the information had been requested by their employer.
