Ar an dtaobh eile, maoinítear trialacha cliniciúla atá neamhspleách le hairgead an phobail, ag ionaid taighde nó ag comhlacais othar agus bíonn siad deartha chun freagairt go príomhtha ar shaincheisteanna d'ábhar ardspéise na n-othar, mar shampla, na córacha leighis is fearr atá ar fáil a chur ar a shúile d'othair, na torthaí diúltacha a d'fhéadfadh a bheith ann tar éis achar fada ama agus fíorthionchar na gcóracha leighis ar shaol an othair.
Independent studies are about expanding medical knowledge for the benefit of patients, rather than trying to satisfy Regulators that something is safe to put on the market. Independent clinical trials are often carried out by several research centres working on the same question, even in different countries – at a multinational level – testing the treatment on different populations. The most reliable and useful results, in fact, come from clinical trials involving a wide variety of people – including those considered more fragile, like elder patients, children, and women – to make sure the outcomes apply to these people as well.

Is maith is fiú roinnt ama a thógáil chun plean a dhéanamh le haghaidh na ngníomhartha ar cheart duit a ghlacadh i gcás tuile. D’fhéadfadh go sábhálfá go leor airgid, ceataí agus strus dá bharr, agus seans go sábhálfadh sé do shaol chomh maith.
The primary natural sources of flooding in Ireland are rivers (fluvial flooding), the sea (coastal and tidal flooding), intense rainfall (pluvial flooding), and groundwater. If a flood threatens your area there are a number of steps you can take to minimise damage to your property but remember safety should always be your first concern. If you live in a flood risk area you should always have preparations in place in case a flood should happen. Preparing a plan for what you should do in the event of a flood is well worth the time it may take. It could save you a lot of money, inconvenience and stress and could even save your life.

The world of art speaks every human language. It knows no boundaries, it has no borders. It connects people on the deepest level. Being a part of that world, I was most happy when given an opportunity to work with artists from other countries. I felt connected to the world, I was giving and receiving, I was exchanging, learning and expanding my soul. Croatia has many artists who should be on a European map of art.... Because as much as they need Europe, Europe needs them too!

Ach cad eile is féidir leat a dhéanamh nuair is mian leat rud éigin a gheallúint seachas an abairt a aithris geallaim ? Agus is leor don sagart a rá: Fógraím sibh anois mar fhear céile agus bean chéile chun do shaol a athrú go deo.
Traditionally, actions are considered more important than just words. But what else can you do when you would like to promise something than recite the sentence I promise? And it's enough for a priest to say: I now pronounce you husband and wife to change your life forever. So there are some speech acts – as the linguist John L. Austin discovered that are performed by words. If some basic conditions (called felicity conditions) are fulfilled then the words pronounced perform the acts described. We can declare people married (if we have the appropriate legal status) as well as promise, threaten and hurt somebody by means of words.

POBAL gave Irish medium schools and A level students all over the north a unique chance to work with recognised writers and actors in a series of storytelling and literature workshops. Among the artists taking part was Fermanagh’s renowned novelist Séamas Mac Annaidh. Séamas ran workshops in 12 primary schools based on his travel experiences and his life as a writer and a journalist, using this experience to help pupils develop their story telling and creative writing skills. He believes that ‘Storytelling is an important tool in educational and social development. We spend our lives telling and listening to stories. Before the coming of computers and television we had stories and we will still have stories when computers and television are gone. I get great enjoyment out of storytelling. I pick up stories on my travels and pass them on as i go.’
