Glyncorrwg Mountain Bike Centre serves as a hub for the campsite and located there are shower facilities, toilet facilities, a bike wash, bike storage, bike shop and repair centre and also a café serving home made food including many Welsh dishes. The centre is also where campers can ask for information on the bike trails, local facilities, fishing and anything else you would need to know to make your stay enjoyable.

In 2007 as part of a public vote, a proposed cycle route from Aberavon Seafront to Afan Forest Park was successful in receiving funding from the Big Lottery Fund as part of the sustrans Connect2 scheme. The Connect2 scheme aims to create safe, attractive footpaths and cycle routes between Aberavon Seafront, Port Talbot, Cwmafan, Pontrhydyfen and Afan Forest Park, connecting local people to their shops, schools, work and green spaces.

This gently sloping trail follows the wide flat route of the old railway lines that once carried passengers and coal the length of the valley. 14 miles of disused railway and forestroad link the communities of Pontrhyfyen with Blaengwynfi and Glyncorrwg and wind through forest and open areas that were once railway sidings. The old Cynonville station has been converted to a shelter and barbeque, and many other benches and picnic tables along the route offer opportunities to stop and enjoy the view.

If adrenaline is not really your thing and you seek a more relaxing weekend, our campsite has a chilled out vibe and is central to many meandering walks.

Toilets and shower facilities are located in the car park and are open 8.30am to 5.00pm daily. Shower tokens can be purchased from Cedars Tearoom for £1.50.
