Haxhinasto theksoi se “rajoni i Ballkanit Perëndimor është duke përjetuar tashmë një realitet të ri. Ai është një komunitet demokracish i cili nuk konsumon më histori, si më parë, por kontribuon nëpërmjet angazhimeve në ruajtjen e paqes dhe sigurisë ndërkombëtare. Të gjithë vendet e rajonit janë përfshirë në një proces integrimi në strukturat evropiane dhe euroatlantike dhe në funksion të këtij procesi ato kanë adoptuar një sërë reformash të brendshme. Rajoni ka një perspektivë të sigurt zhvillimi, duke qenë se po përvijohet gjithnjë e më tepër si një entitet i integruar ekonomik. Në funksion të kësaj perspektive zhvillimi, vendet e rajonit duhet të adoptojnë modelet evropiane të fqinjësisë së mirë”.

In his speech Mr. Haxhinasto stressed that "the Western Balkan region is already experiencing a new reality. It is a community of democracies, which does not consume history anymore, as it previously did, but rather contributes, through engagements, in maintaining international peace and security. All countries of the region are involved in an integration process to the European and Euro-Atlantic structures and in function of this process they have adopted a series of internal reforms. The region has a certain development perspective, since it is increasingly taking the shape of an integrated economic entity. In view of this development perspective the countries of the region ought to adopt European models of good neighborliness."
