Skyguide has also been participating, together with Swiss International Air Lines and the Zurich airport authority, in the Atlantic Interoperability Initiative to Reduce Emissions (AIRE) programme, which is working under the aegis of the SESAR joint undertaking into ATM research to help improve the efficiency of Zurich-bound transatlantic flights.

Les services de la navigation aérienne ont l'intention d'apporter leur pierre à cet effort en améliorant leur efficience. Les initiatives du FABEC auxquelles skyguide est associée, comme le "Night Network", "City Pairs" et "Hot Spots", visent à raccourcir les trajets et à améliorer le bilan environnemental du système dans son ensemble. Avec Swiss International Air Lines et l'aéroport de Zurich, skyguide a aussi participé au programme AIRE (Atlantic Interoperability Initiative to Reduce Emissions), qui, sous l'égide de l'organisation faîtière de la recherche ATM européenne SESAR Joint Undertaking, contribue à améliorer l'efficience des vols atlantiques dont la destination est Zurich.

Zusammen mit Swiss International Airlines und dem Flughafen Zürich beteiligte sich skyguide auch am Programm AIRE (Atlantic Interoperability Initiative to Reduce Emissions), das unter Schirmherrschaft der europäischen ATM Forschung SESAR Joint Undertaking die Flugeffizienz von Atlantikflügen mit Ziel Zürich verbessern hilft.
