Demonstrating commitment to its multicultural nature, Azeri people respects all nations and has preserved their cultures. Mutual respect for each other's national values is the main characteristic of cultural relations between Azerbaijan and German peoples. It will be 200th anniversary of the establishment of German settlements in the Southern Caucasus region in 2007. This event has left a deep mark on the history and culture of the people of Azerbaijan and is remarkable to be included in the event of "anniversaries of eminent persons and significant events program for the years 2016-2017" UNESCO.There is well-established tolerance in Azerbaijan for centuries.
