Au début de l'année, une première décision du Comité des communications électroniques (CCE) a ouvert aux systèmes UWB la bande de fréquence de 6 à 8,5 GHz. Une seconde décision a ensuite ouvert, de manière provisoire (jusqu’en 2010), la bande des 4,2 à 4,8 GHz pour faciliter l’introduction des systèmes UWB de la première génération, principalement des systèmes de communication.

At the beginning of the year, an initial Decision by the Electronic Communications Committee (ECC) opened up the 6 to 8.5 GHz frequency band to UWB systems. A second Decision then provisionally (up to 2010) opened up the 4.2 – 4.8 GHz band to facilitate the introduction of first-generation UWB systems – mainly communication systems. Some of these Decisions have already been included in the 2007 national frequency allocations plan. In addition, a Decision relating to the introduction of “Ground and Wall-Probing Radar Imaging Systems” (GPR/WPR) was adopted by the ECC in early December and will shortly be incorporated in the Swiss regulations. These Decisions were eagerly awaited in Switzerland because a large number of industries and research laboratories are developing numerous systems based on UWB technology.

Eine erste Entscheidung des Ausschusses für elektronische Kommunikation (ECC) hat Anfang des Jahres den UWB-Systemen das Frequenzband von 6–8,5 GHz geöffnet. Eine zweite Entscheidung hat dann provisorisch (bis 2010) den Zugang zum Frequenzband 4,2–4,8 GHz ermöglicht, um die Einführung der UWB-Systeme der ersten Generation – hauptsächlich Kommunikationssysteme – zu erleichtern. Diese Entscheidungen wurden zum Teil bereits in den nationalen Frequenzzuweisungsplan 2007 aufgenommen. Zudem verabschiedete das ECC Anfang Dezember eine Entscheidung betreffend die Einführung von "Ground and Wall-Probing Radar Imaging Systems“ (GPR/WPR), die demnächst in die Regulierungsgrundlagen der Schweiz aufgenommen werden. Auf diese Entscheidungen wartete man in der Schweiz schon lange, da zahlreiche Industrien und Forschungslabors verschiedenste Systeme entwickeln, die auf der UWB-Technologie basieren.

All'inizio dell'anno, una prima decisione del Comitato ECC ha aperto ai sistemi UWB la banda di frequenze dei 6–8,5 GHz. Una seconda decisione ha in seguito aperto provvisoriamente (fino al 2010) l'accesso alla gamma dei 4,2–4,8 GHz, per facilitare l'introduzione dei sistemi UWB di prima generazione (soprattutto sistemi di comunicazione). Queste decisioni sono state in parte attuate nel piano nazionale delle frequenze 2007. A inizio dicembre, il Comitato ECC ha inoltre adottato una decisione concernente l'introduzione di "Ground and Wall-Probing Radar Imaging Systems" (GPR/WPR), che dovrà prossimamente essere ripresa nella legislazione svizzera. Nel nostro Paese queste decisioni erano attese da tempo, dato che numerose industrie e laboratori di ricerca sviluppano vari sistemi basati sulla tecnologia UWB.
