The newly created Committee has been assigned with the argumentation and analysis of the policy papers, for which the Committee for the implementation, monitoring, evaluation and updating of the National Development Strategy was responsible, with the coordination of the financing of the national priorities with the help of international assistance, for which the Committee for External Assistance was previously responsible and with the coordination of the consolidation of the institutional and functional capacities of the central public administration for the purpose of implementing the national policies, for which the Governmental Commission for CPA Reform was responsible.

Comitetul nou creat a fost abilitat cu funcţia de asigurare a argumentării şi analizei documentelor de politici pe care o avea Comitetul pentru implementarea, monitorizarea, evaluarea şi actualizarea Strategiei Naţionale de Dezvoltare; funcţia de coordonare a finanţării priorităţilor naţionale din asistenţa internaţională, exercitată anterior de Comitetul pentru asistenţa externă; funcţia de a coordonare a procesului de consolidare capacităţilor instituţionale şi funcţionale ale administraţiei publice centrale pentru implementarea politicilor naţionale, care era realizată de Comisia guvernamentală pentru reforma APC.
