Student Ambassadors are recruited from Cardiff University and the University of South Wales and are trained by Consortia staff, to ensure their familiarity with the curriculum. Schools signed up to the programme are then designated two Student Ambassadors per subject, who will support pupils either in classrooms or in small groups. The programme is not only aimed to improve grade attainment, but also to raise pupils’ awareness of higher education opportunities through their interactions with current university students.
