2.6 Animal research that is to take place off-site using NRC equipment but that does not involve NRC researchers does not require approval from an NRC ACC. In this situation, the institute that owns the equipment would need to receive written assurance, via their animal care and use program, that those using the equipment have CCAC accreditation.
