Willy, de Sol y Nieve, me preguntó si me animaba y si estaba en estado. No sé si alcanzaba a cumplir con esta condición física pero estaba muy ansiosa por ascender al Villarrica. Símbolo de la ciudad de Pucón, el Villarrica domina el parque nacional que también lleva su nombre. A 2840 m.s.n.m, este volcán que permanece en actividad ofrece, en invierno, buena nieve para esquiar y en verano excelentes panorámicas de los lagos.

Al borde de resultar pesado, sus palabras eran tentadoras, y su insistencia hizo que nos miráramos y finalmente nos subiéramos a su camioneta. Este señor es un alemán que vive hace años en Santiago (Chile). Mientras conducía, iba contándonos detalles de la excursión que había realizado el día anterior. Crecían en nosotros las ansias por conocer ese lugar, que tan efusivamente el alemán nos describía.
