Five kinds of losses, to wit, of kinsfolk, of wealth, disease, loss of character, loss of sound opinions. No being, friends, because of any of the first three kinds of loss, is after death and bodily dissolution reborn to disaster, to evil destiny, to downfall, to purgatory.

११—पाँच व्यसन—ज्ञातिव्यसन, भोग०, रोग०, शील०, दृष्टि० । आवुसो । प्राणी ज्ञाति-व्यसनके कारण या भोगव्यसनके कारण, या रोगव्यसनके कारण, काया छोळ मरनेके बाद अपाय दुर्गति विनिपात, निरय (=नर्क)को प्राप्त होते है । आवुसो । शीलव्यसनके कारण या दृष्टि-व्यसनके कारण प्राणी० ।
