Ah, dimenticavo: SORELI è il nome della varietà scelta, uva bianca lievemente aromatica, parente stretta del Tocai friulano: a noi è piaciuto anche il nome oltre che il potenziale enologico e chissà che in futuro quello che oggi è solo una piccola prova possa diventare qualcosa di importante e su cui investire.

Nonostante la forte predominanza, da parte degli operatori del settore, di risposte a favore del tappo a vite, abbiamo capito che per Cantrina è ancora prematuro dotare buona parte della produzione di chiusura a tappo a vite. Cantrina, infatti, viene vista dalla maggior parte dei consumatori come l’azienda che produce vini di nicchia, una piccola produzione, ma di qualità. Nonostante tutti i punti a favore che una chiusura alternativa al sughero porterebbe, secondo il più diffuso modo di pensare, un vino considerato di qualità e soprattutto una produzione di poche bottiglie è più appropriato il tappo di sughero.

In the last three years it has always come out as one of the best wines in its category, but the choices we have now made have given us a 2005 Nepomuceno I.G.T. red that is entirely in line with our philosophy of production, i.e. a blend of wines made up partly from Merlot, but also from Marzemino and Rebo.

Siamo in uscita con il Nepomuceno 2006. Quest’anno non parteciperà al concorso Nazionale dei Merlot d’Italia. Negli ultimi tre anni ne è sempre uscito come uno dei vincitori della sua categoria, le scelte che abbiamo fatto oggi ci hanno portato a un Nepomuceno IGT rosso 2005 che rispecchia in pieno la filosofia produttiva, un blend di vini composti in parte da Merlot ma anche da Marzemino e da Rebo.
