Rebeka Vaino (b. 1995) is an artist living and working in Tallinn, Estonia. At the moment Vaino is a 2. Course student at the Estonian Academy of Arts in the Fine Arts department, studying painting. She has finished Art school at Collegium Educationis Revaliae (2012). Vaino has taken part in many group exhibitions, including the overview exhibition of Estonian contemporary art “Muutuv ja Muutumatu” (2016) at MONA The Museum of New Art. For two years straight she has also taken part of the Young Art exhibition and auction at Tartu Loomemajanduskeskus. In 2015 she had a commission for a painting for the Imago Mundi project (Italy), for which in 2016 there was published a catalogue (“Estonia/Identity, Contemporary Artists from Estonia”). In addition to painting, Vaino has also worked with performance and installation. The most important being “Love me…” (2017) performance/workshop in collaboration with Roi Vaara and DHMR Presents: Make It Believe Festival (2016) with Camille Laurelli. At the moment Vaino is working on her first solo exhibition and is preparing to continue studies abroad.
