As specialist federal agencies, the Federal Office of Meteorology and Climatology MeteoSwiss, the Federal Office for the Environment FOEN, the WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF and the Swiss Seismological Service SED at the ETH-Zurich are responsible for alerting the population and authorities in the event of storms, floods avalanches and earthquakes.

L'Office fédéral de météorologie et de climatologie (MétéoSuisse), l'Office fédéral de l'environnement (OFEV), l'Institut pour l'étude de la neige et des avalanches (SLF) et le Service sismologique suisse (SED) à l'EPF de Zurich sont les services fédéraux responsables d'alerter les autorités et la population en cas d'intempérie, de crue, d'avalanche ou de tremblement de terre. Ils ont regroupé toutes leurs informations à ce sujet sur GIN, la Plate-forme commune d'information sur les dangers naturels. GIN s'adresse aux sp écialistes fédéraux, cantonaux et communaux et leur met à disposition les mesures, observations, prévisions, alertes, modèles et bulletins produits par les institutions participantes. Les responsables de la sécurité disposent ainsi d'un accès rapide et bien structuré aux informations importantes.

Das Bundesamt für Meteorologie und Klimatologie MeteoSchweiz, das Bundesamt für Umwelt BAFU, das WSL Institut für Schnee- und Lawinenforschung SLF und der Schweizerische Erdbebendienst SED an der ETH-Zürich sind als Fachstellen des Bundes bei Unwetter, Hochwasser, Lawinen und Erdbeben für die Warnung der Behörden und der Bevölkerung verantwortlich. Auf der Gemeinsamen Informationsplattform Naturgefahren (GIN) stellen sie den Naturgefahren-Fachleuten in Bund, Kantonen und Gemeinden gemeinsam ihre Produkte zu den verschiedenen Naturgefahren zur Verfügung. Diese umfassen Mess- und Beobachtungsdaten, Vorhersagen, Warnungen, Modelle und Bulletins. Damit verfügen die Sicherheitsverantwortlichen rasch und in übersichtlicher Form über wichtige Informationen.

L'ufficio federale di meteorologia e climatologia MeteoSvizzera, l'ufficio federale dell'ambiente UFAM, l'istituto WSL per lo studio della neve e delle valanghe SLF e il servizio sismico Svizzero SED delle PF il Zurigo sono i servizi specializzati della Confederazione che in caso di maltempo, piene, valanghe e terremoti hanno il compito di avvertire le autorità e la popolazione. Con la piattaforma informativa comune sui pericoli naturali GIN mettono a disposizione delle forze d'intervento di Confederazione, Cantoni e Comuni, tempestivamente e in forma combinata e adeguata, tutte le informazioni rilevanti per affrontare gli eventi naturali. Essa supporta gli utenti finali con dati, modelli e bollettini aggiornati forniti dalle istituzioni coinvolte.
