Denise is a public health nurse (PHN), specifically a supervisor and team leader, in a community resource health centre in Altona, Manitoba. Since 1998, she has worked with the Families First program, which is run by the central Manitoba regional health authority. Denise trains and supervises home visitors, who conduct home visits, and provides them with resources and support for their clients. She is also a child and adolescent program liaison for the region, and makes decisions with the regional team about children’s programs and services.
