The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission has released for public consultation, draft guidance document RD/GD 384, Site Access Security Clearance for High-Security Sites. This draft guidance document sets out the means of acquiring the minimum information that licensees should process before granting site access security clearances (SASCs) to individuals who require unescorted access to protected areas at high-security sites. The SASC process helps ensure that unescorted persons entering protected areas would not pose a risk to facilities, their operation or personnel.
