Another article regulates the relationship with other international agreements and instruments. This article secures that existing specialized international access and benefit-sharing instruments applies that are consistent with the objectives of the Convention and the Protocol (e.g. the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture of the FAO) can be implemented or further developed (e.g. World Health Organisation: human pathogenic organisms, Food and Agriculture Organization: animal genetic resources).
