J'aimerais un peu mieux comprendre l'aspect zoologique. Vous avez parlé de l'étape infectieuse du pou du poisson, à quel moment se produit-elle? Est-ce que cela signifie qu'il y a des poux du poisson adultes dans les centres piscicoles qui se reproduisent, générant ainsi des larves, et que c'est à cet état larvaire que l'étape infectieuse se produit, au moment où ces poux s'attachent à d'autres espèces de poissons?

Just so I understand a little bit more of the zoology, when we're talking about the infectious stage of sea lice, what stage is that? Are we saying that there are adult lice on fish farms that reproduce, so there are larvae, and that it is those larvae that grow to some infectious stage and then attach themselves to some species of fish?

Il s'agit tout simplement d'ajouter que le COSEPAC doit se tenir à jour et «modifier les noms scientifiques et communs qui figurent sur la liste des espèces en péril en conformité avec la nomenclature zoologique et botanique acceptée à l'heure actuelle».

We suggest that a new part be added to the section dealing with keeping the list taxonomically current. Names change in the scientific literature as more and better information comes to the fore. It is just adding that COSEWIC should keep up to date, and “amend the scientific and common names in the list of species at risk in accordance with currently accepted zoological or botanical nomenclature”.
