Rolf Iten is Managing Director of INFRAS, the sustainability knowledge pool in Zurich. As such, he is responsible for the areas energy and environment as well as social and general economic policy with a special focus on economic analyses of economic-political measures and programs, regulatory policy and market-based economic instruments in the fields of energy, transport and the environment. Prior to this, he was a project manager for various national and international research and policy studies within INFRAS in the areas of economic, social, energy and environment policies. Since 2001, he has been a member of the Inrate Board of Directors. Rolf Iten was a research assistant at the Socio-economic Institute of the University of Zurich from 1986 to 1989 and published his doctoral thesis on the micro-economic evaluation of environmental qualities. Between 1985 to 1989, he was lecturer at the University of Zurich in micro-economics and, in 1985, he was a member of the staff unit for economic issues in the Canton of Aargau. Rolf Iten holds a Master's degree in economics from the University of Zurich.
