StatCan's Workplace Wellness Committee and the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (for United Way) put on a 5km race today. The entrance fee was only $25 and came with a bright yellow t-shirt. All the proceeds go the United Way campaign. It was a beautiful sunny day and the course took us through the Ottawa River Parkway area, which is fabulously scenic. I was glad that I didn't finish last and happy to have contributed to the United Way.
