Dywedodd Stuart Ropke, Prif Weithredydd Cartrefi Cymunedol Cymru: "Mae diwygio llesiant eisoes yn cael effaith anghymesur ar denantiaid Cymru, ac mae'n rhaid i ni sicrhau fod ein Haelodau Seneddol newydd yn llwyr ymwybodol o'r effaith a gaiff y newidiadau hyn ar draws cymunedau Cymru. Mae mwy o denantiaid mewn ôl-ddyled rhent nag erioed o'r blaen gyda chyflwyno'r Credyd Cynhwysol, ac mae oedi mewn gwneud taliadau yn arwain at gynnydd mewn caledi ariannol. Yn ychwanegol, pan ddaw'r cap Lwfans Tai Lleol ar Fudd-dal Tai i rym ym mis Ebrill 2019, rhagwelwn na all llawer o bobl dalu eu rhent os na chaiff newidiadau eu gwneud sy'n adlewyrchu realaeth lefelau rhent yng Nghymru."

Stuart Ropke, Chief Executive of Community Housing Cymru, said: “Welfare reform is already having a disproportionate effect on Welsh tenants, and we must ensure that our new MPs are fully aware of the impact that these changes are having across Welsh communities. There are more tenants in rent arrears than ever before with the introduction of Universal Credit, and delays in payments are leading to an increase in hardship. In addition, when the Local Housing Allowance cap on Housing Benefit comes into effect in April 2019, we foresee many people being unable to pay their rent if changes are not made to reflect the reality of Welsh rent levels.”
