President Demirtaş stated that they purchased 21 thousand square lots for Faculty of Medicine Education and Research Hospital; he said “Güzelbahçe Campus lot was about 185 decares. We purchased the adjacent lot and now it became a total of 210 decares. “Ekonomi Koleji” (education complex) from kindergarten to university will be built here. It will be a science based education. We want to make it an exemplary Science High School because Faculty of Engineering and the 2nd Techno park will also be here. There will also be sports hall, Olympic swimming pool, football field, tennis courts, and a pond.”

ITO-IUE game was a total fair play. The match ended in a 3-3 draw. Akın Kazançoğlu, ITO Acting Chairman of the Executive Board and IUE Member of the Board of Trustees, congratulated the teams and presented their medallions and cups. NİMET DİLAVER: We designed the “Green Park of Our Dreams” with Ece, Gülbeyaz and Can. It is a park with a playground, sandbox, swimming pool, basketball and football field. The children dreamed of a park with their unlimited imagination. It seems easy but it was a very meaningful work for us. This workshop which started as a small volunteering project added many things to all of us. The expression of happiness on the children’s face was the most important thing. I attended such kind of a project for the first time. The project was really enjoyable and beautiful. Thanks again.

“The sports hall, Olympic size swimming pool, football field, tennis courts, basketball court, and a pond will be on that campus. Studies on advanced technology, space age, atom age, robot technology will be conducted. We will also build the “Ekonomi Koleji” (education complex k-12) there. Students with high IQ scores will be enrolled. We will expand this education model not in Izmir but in the entire Aegean Region. We will be training students who receive best quality of education and speak 3 foreign languages by 2023.”

“Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından gideceğimiz kente yönelik 5 – 6 okul adı alıyoruz. Bu okulları tek tek arayıp ihtiyaçlarını soruyoruz. En çok ihtiyacı olan okulumuzu belirliyoruz. Diğer okullarımızı da başka projelerimiz için not ediyoruz. 300 kişilik bir kulübüz, her kente 35 kişilik bir ekip olarak gidiyoruz. İlköğretim öğrencilerinin okuyabileceği kitapları belirliyoruz. Her okulumuz için bin kitap alıyoruz. Kütüphaneleri oluştururken palyaço gösterileri, duvar boyama etkinlikleri, öğrencilerle futbol maçı, canlı müzik ve anasınıfı öğrencilerine oyuncak dağıtımı gibi aktiviteler de yapıyoruz. Hedefimiz 81 ildeki en uçlarda kalmış, kimsenin gitmediği köylerde İlgi’siz Öğrenci Kulübü’nün kütüphanesini kurmak.”

“We are told by the Ministry of National Education about 5 – 6 school names in the cities we plan to visit. We contact each of them and find out about their needs. We try to determine the school with the most needs and also take down the names of other schools for other projects. We are a club of 300 students and visit each city in a group of 35 people. We try to determine the books that are suitable for elementary school students. We purchase one thousand books for each school. We are organizing activities as clown shows, wall painting activities, and soccer games with students, live music, and handing out toys to kindergarten students when we visit their schools. Our purpose is to establish a İlgi'siz Student Club library at schools in the remote areas of all 81 cities.”

Şengül, "En çok ihtiyacı olan okullarımızda kütüphaneler kuruyoruz. Kütüphaneleri oluştururken palyaço gösterileri, duvar boyama etkinlikleri, öğrencilerle futbol maçı, canlı müzik ve anasınıfı öğrencilerine oyuncak dağıtımı gibi aktiviteler de yapıyoruz. Kardeşlerimiz, karşılarında üniversiteli olarak bizleri görünce hem mutlu oluyorlar hem de heyecanlanıyorlar. Duydukları mutluluğu da mektuplarında çok özel bir şekilde bizimle paylaştılar. Bu durum da bizde büyük bir şevk yarattı. Bundan sonra projemizi daha da geliştireceğiz. İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi bizim yolumuzu açıyor, biz de minik kardeşlerimizin yolunu açacak projeler geliştiriyoruz" dedi.

Rıdvan Şengül, President of the Club, a freshman at Department of Sociology, stated that they were able to carry out their project which was funded by Ministry of Youth and Sports and co-supported by Ministry of National Education and Ministry of Culture and Tourism. He said that they received very emotional letters that were written carefully. Şengül said, "We build libraries at schools who need it the most. We organize activities as clown shows, wall painting activities, and soccer games with students, live music, and handing out toys to kindergarten students when we visit their schools. When they see university students, they get both excited and happy. They express their emotions in their letters, which has been very motivational for us. We will further improve our project. Izmir University of Economics supports us, and we support our little friends by coming up with projects.”
