Expenditures on other goods and services used in producing government goods and services are allocated to the province or territory where they are consumed in that production. Two examples: the cost of uniforms for RCMP officers produced by the business sector in Ontario, and purchased by the Government of Canada, would be shown not in Ontario but in the provinces or territories in which they were used. Similarly, the expenditures related to the acquisition of a weapon system, the submarine HMCS Victoria for instance, purchased from non-residents-the U.K.-but based in British Columbia, would be shown where it was based and used, i.e., British Columbia.
