Euskal Autonomia Erkidegoko ikerkuntza-erakunde garrantzizkoenak buru dituen proiektu hau egun dagoen euskal industriaren balioa eta trebetasunak transferitzeko egiten den lehen urrats ofiziala da. Egungo joera demografikoek sortutako arazoei aurre egitea du helburu, zahartze-fenomenoa eta bertako eta mundu-mailako gaixotasun kronikoen tasa handia ardatz hartuta.

This project, headed by leading research bodies in the Basque Country, is the first official step in transferring existing Basque industry value and skills with the objective of dealing with the problems generated by today's demographic tendencies, focussing on attention to the phenomenon of aging and the high rate of chronic disease existing locally and worldwide. From a gerontological point of view, the idea is to research not only "what they do", but to take a deeper look at "why they do it", identifying and monitoring the situation in order to understand what happens to them and therefore be able to do something about it beforehand and individually.

Este proyecto es el primer paso oficial para la transferencia de valor y habilidades de la industria vasca existente, con el objetivo de afrontar los problemas generados por las actuales tendencias demográficas, centrándonos en la atención del fenómeno del envejecimiento y la alta tasa de enfermedades crónicas a nivel local y mundial. Desde un punto de vista gerontológico, se trata de investigar no sólo “qué hacen”, sino profundizar en el “por qué lo hacen”, identificando y monitorizando para entender lo que les ocurre y poder así intervenir de manera anticipada y personalizada.
