The conference will consist of a presentation by Dr. Dirk Van Hertem, currently professor at ELECTA research group at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and with expertise on power system operation and control in systems with FACTS and HVDC and building the transmission system of the future, including offshore grids and the supergrid concept. As well, he is an active member of IEEE (PES and IAS).

La jornada constará de una presentación a cargo del Dr. Dirk Van Hertem, actual profesor titular al grupo de investigación ELECTA de la Universidad de Leuven (KU Leuven) y experto en el funcionamiento de sistemas de control con FACTS y HVDC, así como en redes de transporte del futuro, incluyendo redes marítimas y el concepto de súper red. También es miembro activo del IEEE (PES y IAS).
