Mr. Morales spoke about intergenerational communication as a means to teach younger members of a community about traditions and language. He therefore encouraged support for the elderly in addition to school children. In accordance with what Espinosa and Seurujärvi-Kari had earlier noted, Morales stated that the lack of quality education is common among indigenous peoples all around the world. He further continued that awareness of one’s own cultural heritage is important in building understanding of other cultures.
