«The advisory centre for a return of the canton Valais regularly uses ISS – Swiss Foundation of the International Social Service – to ensure the sustainable reintegration of vulnerable people, when aid to the return granted by the Federal Office for Migration proves insufficient. A family without employment opportunities, who can only rely on a weak social network and whose children require further education, needs greater support – a support that the ISS can provide. In these situations, the complementary support granted by the ISS for a professional project or training is often a factor to maintain their willingness to return and gives them confidence in their capability to cope with the future.»

«Die Beratungsstelle für Rückkehrhilfe des Kantons Wallis nutzt regelmässig die Dienste der Schweizerischen Stiftung des internationalen Sozialdienstes SSI, um die Reintegration von Asylsuchenden oder Papierlosen im Herkunftsland umzusetzen. Die Stiftung ist eine wichtige Ergänzung zur Unterstützung durch das Bundesamt für Migration. Eine Familie ohne Aussicht auf Arbeit, mit einem schwachen sozialen Netzwerk und mit Ausbildungsanliegen für ihre Kinder ist auf zusätzliche Unterstützung angewiesen, wie sie die SSI bieten kann. Diese Hilfe ist oft ausschlaggebend dafür, dass Menschen bereit sind, in ihr Herkunftsland zurückzukehren. Die SSI stärkt das Vertrauen dieser Menschen in ihre Fähigkeiten und in eine erfolgreiche Zukunft.»
