DJELOVANJE: Lavanda budrovka, hvarska lavanda ili hrvatski lavandin je u svijetu poznati križanac lavandina a dobio je ime po Budroviću na Hvaru u čijem vrtu je križanac otkriven 1948. godine. Eterično ulje dobiva se destilacijom vodenom parom svježe ubranih cvjetova.

BENEFITS: Cultivation of lavender in Dalmatia began after the WW I during the well-known wine crisis. “Domestic lavander” – lavandin was mostly cultivated with dark green leaves and distinctly blue flowers. This world renowned crossbreed was discovered in Budrović’s garden on Hvar and was therefore called Lavender “Budrovka”, blue lavender with a scientific name Lavandula hybrida Reverchon II. Essential oil is obtained by distilling freshly harvested flowers and upper parts of a plant by steam distillation. It has an important role in aromatherapy, and has been included in the list of essential oils for aromatherapy made by the acknowledged aromatherapist PhD. Kurta Schnaubelt as Croatian lavender. It has a strong antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect. It is used to treat oily and acne prone skin, in massage oils for stress and anxiety relief, for a peaceful and pleasant sleep, for massage to help alleviate rheumatic pains and headaches. The oil is a known repellent; it repels insects which makes it a mandatory ingredient in repellent sprays. Not recommended for pregnant women and nursing mothers and children under the age of 12
