D. in Biochemistry (1978) at the McGill University, Dr. Rassart carried out research in Molecular Biology at the Institute of Clinical Research of Montreal and at the Department of Medicine of University of Montreal. He has been professor at the Department of Biological Sciences of the UQAM from 1986 to 2014 and became professor emeritus in September 2014. His current fields of interest relate to the molecular biology of the retroviruses, cancer, oncogenes, regulation of the genetic expression and human, rabbit and mouse apolipoproteins.
  Archambault Denis | Bio...
Le Dr Denis Archambault est membre du corps professoral au Département des sciences biologiques de l’Université du Québec à Montréal depuis 1991. Il est titulaire d’un doctorat professionnel en médecine vétérinaire (1976), d’une M.Sc.
Dr. Denis Archambault is a faculty member of the Department of Biological Sciences at UQAM since 1991. He is a veterinary molecular virologist/immuno-logist specialized in RNA viruses (retroviruses, arteriviruses and pesti-viruses) and he has an interest in the gene therapy of cancer. He holds a DVM degree and obtained his PhD at Université de Montréal in 1986. He has completed postdoctoral studies at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda , Maryland , and at the National Laboratory of Immunology in Ottawa through fellowships from the Medical Research Council of Canada . Thereafter, he held a research scholarship from the Fonds de la Recherche en Santé du Québec from 1990 to 2002, while occupying a professor position in the Department of Biological Sciences at the UQAM.
Dr. François Dragon holds a B.Sc. degree in biochemistry (1988) from the UQAM, and a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry (1996) from the Université de Montréal. He continued his research training at the Friedrich Miescher Institute (Switzerland) where he studied the assembly of small nucleolar ribonucleoproteins in mammalian cells. During a second postdoctoral training at Yale University (U.S.A) he got interested in nucleolar factors required for maturation of ribosomal RNAs in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Dr. Dragon is assistant professor in the Department of Biological Sciences of the UQAM since July 2001. His research focuses on ribosome biogenesis and the assembly of telomerase in eukaryotes.
