Lutzerath is een centraal gelegen dorp op een heuvel in de Vulkaaneifel, sterk beheerst door landbouw, tourisme en handel. U treft er goed aangelegde wandel- en fietswegen aan. Die u langs prachtige wouden, typische beekdalen, aan idyllische Eifelmaare, de ijstijdholen aan de Falkenlay en langs de romantische Moezel voert. Bezienswaardigheden: Marien- Wallfahrtskerk met een uit hout gesneden altaar, Ameisen- Koloniale Geo-wandelweg, uitkijkpunt Achterhöhe met zicht op het Üßbachtal en in de Eifel. Bij het vakantieprogramma van de toeristenvereniging in de zomer bent u van harte welkom. Barbequeavonden, kinderclub, nachtelijke wandeltochten en veel meer worden aan gasten en inwoners aangeboden.
