Ever Banega accompanied Ernesto Marcucci in the pre-match press conference for Wednesday's Champions League fixture with NK Maribor. He made the side's aims clear: "We've not come in search of a point, we've come to win and not having to think about any other match. We're going to a very difficult ground against a great opponent who will definitely want to finish off the Group Stage positively. But we've come in good form and with a good dynamic we'll hopefully continue growing".

  WIN WITHOUT HESITATION ...
Sevilla now only need to face NK Maribor to finish off what has been - barring an ugly night in Moscow - an impressive Group Stage campaign for the Nervionenses - one which has seen the side show pride, tenacity and flair when needed.

  ESCUDERO: "WE OPENED SP...
Sergio Escudero, absent in the Wanda Metropolitano, evaluated the side's win against NK Maribor: "I think no match is easy in this competition. The important thing is winning the three points with confidence and calmness. We have to keep working to improve every match because by correcting errors we'll go on to more. Today we managed the ball quickly in possession and that opened up spaces".
The team did not rely on any result and now looks forward: "Now we have to think about La Liga because we have a very difficult game and only a few days to prepare for it". Also questioned about the Man of the Match, Ben Yedder, he said: "He's a fantastic footballer, he scores a lot of goals and he's showing it".

  SHARING MINUTES... THIR...
Sevilla FC played against NK Maribor this past Tuesday in their tenth official game of season in a campaign which has seen a strong start from Eduardo Berizzo's team. The Nervionenses have put together a start of seven wins, two draws and just the one loss, scoring 15 goals and conceding 8 in the process - keeping six clean sheets as well.
These exceptional stats have translated to third place in the League Championship - with the same points tally as achieved in 2014/15 and two points more than had been picked up last season - and to leaders in Group E of the Campions League, having snatched an historic away point at Anfield and winning with dominance at home against Maribor.

  MILANIC: "WE HAVE AN OP...
Manager of NK Maribor, Darko Milanic, appeared in the press room of the Sánchez-Pizjuán moments before his team began practising in the stadium ready for Tuesday´s game. Without beating around the bush, the manager acknowledged Sevilla FC as the favourite to win but said that this would not stop his team from giving it their all this Tuesday.
"They are the favourites, and it's not up for debate. But each one of us knows that we are able to give our maximum effort. The aim is to finish the match with our heads held high, as we did in the first match. We have an opportunity to achieve great things and we want to take advantage of that... We are not in the elite of world football, but we have experience. All of us will sleep very well tonight and we will be well prepared for when we face Sevilla. We want to be a leading team. Preparing for this type of match is straightforward".

  BERIZZO: "WE HAVE TO AD...
Looking ahead, but with the aim of improving from Saturday's loss in the Wanda Metropolitano, Eduardo Berizzo appeared before the press before tomorrow's Champions League clash with NK Maribor. A change of mindset needed, but always looking for improvement: "Sevilla is a side used to competing in different competitions and does so naturally. Tomorrow's match should be a test, to attack on the wings, with speed, above all using the ball to find speed... We have to do them harm using the ball with the dynamism we lacked in Madrid."
For Berizzo the key is to play "with precision and giving dynamism to our possession to do them harm. The lesson is that all the posession we have has to give us chances, I'm referring to the first half on Saturday, and then you pay for your mistakes, as in the second half. Tomorrow will be an instense match with a lot of pace, what we need to learn or the notch to turn up is adding dynamism to our possession, more attack, finding more attackers than we did against Atlético."

  MARCUCCI: "WE'LL GO OUT...
Ernesto Marcucci spoke to the press in the Ljudski vrt Stadium ahead of Wednesday's decisive Champions League clash with NK Maribor - a side he already led the Nervionenses against in the second game of the Group Stages on account of an Eduardo Berizzo suspension.
The Argentine wouldn't say that the elimination of Maribor could be seen as a positive: "I don't know if it's an advantage or not that they have nothing to play for. They have their good individuals and if you leave them to it, they'll play very well. We have to do our work, continue with the same intensity as in our last matches and we'll try to get on that track. If we think this is over and it's a formality, we won't do well".
