  Storia - Gresini Racing
In 1997, Fausto Gresini makes a debut with his own team in the top class, the 500cc World Championship, with Alex Barros riding an HONDA NSR V Twin and with the support of Honda Brazil. That year, the team ended up in a satisfying ninth position, proudly achieving its first podium finish at Donington.
  ALEIX ESPARGARO' RIMONT...
In any case, the potential of the RS-GP and the Spanish rider were not affected by the race today. Even in difficult conditions, Aleix was able to demonstrate an absolutely competitive pace after the initial laps, whereas the team skilfully took advantage of the morning warmup to reacquire feeling (something for which the ninth place in that session is a testament). This was a technical response that lets the team leave Austria with a finish in the points, fourth place in the manufacturer standings and motivation to return, as early as at Silverstone, to the levels that have been demonstrated up to now.

“Despite the result, I am satisfied with the way I managed the race. I gave 100%, using a very conservative map straight away and managing in any case to maintain a good pace. I hoped to be able to use the more aggressive map in the race finale, where we know that we are faster, but that wasn’t possible. During the final lap I was about to attack Miller and Iannone, but some fuelling problems cost me a lot of positions. A ninth place finish in these conditions would have been an important result. We need to work together to solve this problem, without which I am convinced that we would have been able to battle in the group of the best 5-6 down to the end.”

Jorge Navarro had the first contact with the world of motorcycles when he was 8 years old, when he took part at the selection of the “Cuna de Campeones”. After several successes in the trophy organized by the Ricardo Tormo circuit of Valencia, in the categories minibike, MiniGP 70 and 125 GP, in 2011 Navarro is sixth overall in the CEV 125 GP and ninth in the European Championship 125 GP. Navarro first rode a Moto3 bike in 2012, again in the Spanish CEV Championship, where he obtained the twelfth place overall. In the same year he took part at his first World Championship Grand Prix, at Aragon, as a Wild Card. In 2013 he’s sixth in the CEV Moto3 and raced in two GPs as a Wild Card. The 2014 season sees Jorge playing a leading role in the CEV Moto3, where he’s runner up in the standings, while in the Moto3 World Championship he races the whole second half of the season getting his first World Championship points. The full-time debut in the Moto3 World Championship takes place in 2015: Navarro closes the year in seventh place, collecting four podium finishes. The first GP wins came in 2016, at Barcelona and Aragon: a positive season ended in third position in the overall standings.
