Gareth Glyn says "This compact concerto is a musical depiction of many of the elements of the story – the storm in which David was born, the dove which taught him the ways of God, the hill that arose beneath his feet as he preached, and his last words: ‘Be joyful, and do the little things.’ The work is a showpiece for the harp, in the skilful hands of Catrin Finch, allowing it to display all its varied qualities from the expressive and delicate to the tempestuous and virtuosic."

Bydd concerto newydd Glyn i’r delyn, cyd-gomisiwn rhwng BBC NOW a Tŷ Cerdd, yn cael ei arwain gan yr arweinydd Cymreig enwog Grant Llewellyn. Meddai Gareth Glyn. "Mae’r consierto cryno hwn yn bortread cerddorol o sawl elfen o’r stori – y storm y cafodd Dewi ei eni ynddo, y golomen wen fu’n ei ddysgu yn ffyrdd Duw, bryn a gododd dan ei draed tra’n pregethu, a’i eiriau olaf: ‘Byddwch lawen, a gwnewch y pethau bychain’. Mae’r gwaith yn rhoi cyfle i’r delyn unawdol, yn nwylo medrus Catrin Finch, i arddangos ei holl nodweddion – o’r cain a thelynegol i’r chwim a disglair."
