The scope of accreditation includes identification in food products of elements such as lead and cadmium, such parameters as total number of groups of pesticides, coliform, staphylococcus, Salmonella, E. coli, microorganisms, dry matter and fat content in milk and milk products.

According to the schedule, comparative experiments were carried out on 15 methods and 27 parameters during the month of January of current year in the testing laboratory of central food and non-food products. Zaur Gasimov, head of the Department of Enterprise Development updated participant of the event on work done at the Ministry of Economic Development in accordance with the president’s decree “State Program for Development of Communications and Information Technologies in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2010-2012 (Electronic Azerbaijan)” signed May 23, 2011 and “On Events to Organize Provision of Electronic Government Services.” Gasimov underlined the importance given to information technologies in the ministry, because they play an important role in modern and flexible management, rational organization of work and time saving. He mentioned that according to the decree by the President of Azerbaijan “On events to organize provision of electronic government services” a section of electronic services was created on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development www.economy.gov.az. The section provides lists of documents necessary to obtain licenses for various activities from the Ministry of Economic Development and to obtain certificates of origin and quality of goods, as well as an online application, only to be filled by the applicant. In total the ministry provides interactive and informative electronic services in 7 and 9 directions respectively. Now using electronic services provided by the Ministry of Economic Development, aside from obtaining electronic forms of required documents, entrepreneurs are able to pay online state duties and service fees, and attach supporting documents to relevant paperwork for payments.

During the event, representatives of the ministry provided information about the electronic services and terms of their use. In his speech, head of the Department of Enterprise Development Zaur Gasimov said that under the e-government state program in government entities, including the Ministry of Economic Development introduction of electronic services was expanded and public services provided by the ministry were digitalized. This is particularly important for modern and flexible management, rational organization of work and time saving. According to the decree by the President of Azerbaijan “On events to organize provision of electronic government services” a section of electronic services was created on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development www.economy.gov.az. The section provides lists of documents necessary to obtain licenses for various activities from the Ministry of Economic Development and to obtain certificate of origin and quality of goods, as well as an online application, only to be filled by the applicant. Aside from providing entrepreneurs with electronic forms of required documents, the section also makes it possible to pay online state duties and service fees according with the legislation. The ministry registers grant contracts for commercial legal entities online. At the same time, it was made possible to pay fines and financial sanctions online.
