La cascina presentava originariamente due cantine a monte, una per il latte, l'altra per il formaggio, mentre la facciata a valle presentava un vasto locale aperto fino al tetto adibito ad abitazione e a luogo di produzione del formaggio. Il soggiorno con la confortevole pigna in sasso fu costruito solo nel 1950.

The buildings were probably erected in 1825 at their previous site, which remained in use until 1984. This group of three buildings comprised the large herdsmans hut, a small cowshed and a larger shelter. The low block building with a lean-to roof placed somewhat at a distance from the other structures was used for keeping pigs. In its original configuration the herdsmans hut consisted of a milk and cheese cellar on the side facing the slope, while the side facing the valley consisted of a large room open to roof level which was used equally for working, i.e. mainly for cheese-making, and as living quarters. The parlour made cosy by its stone stove was not built into the house until 1950.

Der bis 1984 benutzte letzte Standort wurde wahrscheinlich 1825 eingerichtet. Dieser Gebäudekomplex bestand aus vier Bauten, nämlich der grossen Sennhütte, einem kleinen Stall und einem grösseren Unterstand; in dem niedrigen, etwas abseits gelegenen Blockbau mit Pultdach wurden Schweine gehalten. In ihrer ursprünglichen Anordnung bestand die Sennhütte aus je einem bergseitig gelegenen Milch- und Käsekeller, während die Talseite ein grosser, bis unters Dach offener Raum einnahm, der zum Arbeiten, d.h. vor allem zur Käseherstellung, und zum Wohnen gleichermassen benutzt wurde. Die Wohnstube mit ihrem Steinofen ist erst 1950 eingebaut worden.
