Un ffordd o gyflawni hyn yw trwy ddatblygu nifer o amcanion a thargedau realistig, crynhoi'r strategaeth mewn rhyw fath o ddogfen ysgrifenedig a meddwl am yr adnoddau fydd eu hangen i gyflawni'r cynllun.
One way of achieving this is to develop some realistic objectives and targets, capture the strategy in some kind of written document and think about the resources required to deliver the plan. Plans should not be lengthy or complicated but succinct and easy to understand. They should always contain sufficient information proportionate to what is required, for example a proposal to potential funder.

Most voluntary groups simply couldn’t exist without undertaking some form of fundraising activity. And this should be planned, must comply with current legal and regulatory requirements, be realistic and proportionate to the size of the organisation and activities it undertakes, and – hopefully – ultimately successful!

Robert Mant (pictured centre below), one of the Foundation's Volunteer Coaches, helps out with coaching disability football as well as under 16's. He really appreciates the experience that he's gaining through coaching disabled athletes. He has recently been given more responsibility as he has now been volunteering for several months. "It's such a nice place to volunteer, everyone's really helpful and it's nice to do something for other people and give something back. As a student it's all too easy to sit around doing nothing, I'd recommend that everyone gets involved in some kind of volunteering for the benefit of organisations but also of their own benefit. You build up a 'toolbox' of skills that can be used anywhere!"

One of the most important jobs flowers do is attract insects to our plots. Around 80% of all food crops need some sort of pollination, so getting those bees, butterflies and hoverflies buzzing around your vegetable patch could really pay dividends come harvest time. Yarrow is highly attractive to all sorts of beneficial insects, such as ladybirds and hoverflies. Sweet peas smell gorgeous and their colourful blooms can be cut for vases in the house. Growing some next to your beans can also attract bumblebees. And borage is an excellent bee plant, with the added advantage of edible flowers that look great in a salad.
